破茧为蝶 中国四类“变态”基金大盘点

在动物世界里，相貌丑陋的毛毛虫破茧而出成为绚丽多姿的蝴蝶，这种过程被称为“完全变态”。毛毛虫在蜕变过程中，改变的不仅仅是相貌，还有内在本质。在领域里，一只基金通过召开持有人大会的方式，改变基金运作方式或对投资范围、投资目标有较大改变，我们认为，这只基金的性质出现了转变，基金所属类型也随之发生了变更，也属于一种“变态”行为。

近几年来，中国基金市场上这种基金“变态”行为时有发生，究其根源，主要有以下缘由。
基金“变态”原因之一：
规模大幅萎缩出现生存危机
转型前后名称：景顺长城恒丰债券——景顺长城货币基金

中国第一只发生性质转变的基金是景顺长城恒丰债券，该基金连同景顺长城优选股票和景顺长城动力平衡共同组成一个系列基金设立于2003年10月。由于当时市场萧条，景顺长城恒丰债券基金初始设立规模就比较小，只有4.74亿元。在此后不到2年的运作中，该基金遭到大量赎回，至2005年1季度末期，其净资产只剩下7869万元。而根据基金合同要求，假如该基金连续20个工作日资产净值低于5000万元，基金管理人应出具解决方案。于是，这只徘徊在危险边缘的基金于2005年5月开始着手准备召开持有人大会，决定向货币市场基金转型。 在2005年的市场中，货币市场基金是最受基金投资人欢迎的产品之一，该类基金平均规模为67.57亿元，当时规模最大的两只货币市场资产都超过300亿元。因此，景顺长城恒丰债券向货币市场基金转型，既是形势所迫也是明智的选择。该基金于2005年7月中旬正式完成转型，转型前后，规模增长幅度达到2301.08%，至2005年9月，该基金净资产增至18.34亿元，彻底解决了之前的生存危机。从时间上看，景顺长城恒丰债券转型时间跨度大致为2个月。
如今该基金转型已2年有余，转型后更名为景顺长城货币基金，运作状态良好。截至2008年一季度末的资产规模为14.76亿元，最近1年平均年化收益率超过3％。
