is an appliance that every mom needs, and I don’t say that lightly. I believe in keeping a simple and streamlined kitchen, and when Raffi started solids I thought I’d make his pureed foods using tools I already had.
What. A. Waste.
I had to clean a pot, then the steamer insert, and then the blender. We didn’t do too many pureed foods at the beginning. I tried baby led weaning which I wouldn’t do again (I’ll explain more another time). Anyway, if I had this appliance then we would have started solid foods in a completely different way. Raffi would have tried a little bit of everything in pureed form, and I never would have given Raffi any store -bought pureed foods at all.
makes it so easy and quick to prepare pureed foods for your child. Raffi is 15 months old and I use the BABYCOOK at least twice a month to make applesauce and other fruit purees. I load some into his Babypote (a resuable food pouch also made by Beaba) to bring with us when we are out and about. Raffi gets a nutritious homemade snack and I don’t have to spend forever preparing it. In 15 minutes I’ve made a batch of applesauce or his favorite, mango/banana puree.

1. It doesn’t take up much room on my countertop, so I don’t mind leaving it out. When I need to put it away it tucks nicely in a cabinet.
2. You can control the consistency of the finished puree making it chunky, smooth or anywhere in between. I can’t wait until our daughter will be ready for solid foods and I can fully test this out by trying every combination I can think of.
3. It’s easy to clean. I despise doing dishes, and with the BABYCOOK you steam, blend and heat or defrost in the same bowl. And since it only takes 15 minutes from start to finish, I can make pureed food and clean it up in no time.
