腊月二十四，农历小年，对于大人来说，意味着可以开始备年货，祭灶，打扫卫生，传说到这一天后各路神仙就到天庭跟玉皇大帝做工作总结去了，就留下一些小神，如土地公公等，神仙都走了，对老百姓来讲就可以对自己的房子进行一次彻底的打扫，不怕惊着各路神仙。所以在我记忆中，白天就帮着妈妈把屋的里里外外来个大扫除，蜘蛛网，角落里存了一年的灰尘，都在这一天被清理，对大人而言，是挺累的一天，对我而言，只是帮凑合着做个小工。
而在这一天，到了晚上，则是我们的天下了。只要一吃好晚饭，村里的小孩就会三五成群汇聚在一起，手里拿着木棒，头上绑上易燃的纱、布之类，有条件的再在布上蘸上一点机油，然后就人手一盒火柴，奔向田野，在那个缺少娱乐设施的年代，这一晚，注定是属于我们狂欢的夜晚，虽然没有路灯照明，可是我们有火炬，一路跑，一路将路边的枯草点燃，放眼望去，到处是一片片火光，跟一群群活泼的身影，还听大人讲，要到自己的麦田里多烧点，烧旺点，来年麦子收成也好。
前几天回老家，带着相机到田里走走，看着田埂上的一丛丛枯草，心里直痒痒，365天就那天口袋里带着打火机，于是乎一个人在那边烧到东来烧到西，真真切切的回味了一下儿时的乐趣，遗憾的是，转眼自己已经30好几，而且只孤身一人在这荒芜的田里。
