  在中国陶瓷工艺发展史上,金代磁州窑系统已有红、绿、黄彩等相结合的釉上彩制品。明宣德时,斗彩初露芳容。
  从西藏日喀则萨迦寺收藏的大明宣德年制款斗彩鸳鸯莲荷纹碗和1988年11月景德镇明御用窑厂遗址出土的斗彩鸳鸯莲荷纹盘,可窥一斑。台湾故宫博物院收藏品中亦有相同于景德镇御窑厂出土的成化鸳鸯莲荷纹盘,它们的装饰题材、构图设色、描绘技法与宣德器如出一辙,只是彩色较宣德薄匀鲜亮,画面效果稍稍不及宣器生动自然,略显拘谨。显然,声名赫赫的成化斗彩是在宣德斗彩成就基础上发扬光大的。青出于蓝而胜于蓝,成化斗彩在胎质、色釉、装饰、工艺技法、品种诸多方面都高出宣窑。
  成化御用斗彩器,分别收藏于北京故宫博物院与台湾故宫博物院。由于是宫廷御用珍赏品,制品少而精粹。在明万历朝成化斗彩已身价倍增,“本朝窑器,用白地青花间装五色,为古今之冠,如宣窑品最贵,近日又贵成窑,出宣窑之上”。“至于窑器最贵成化,次则宣德。杯琖之属,初不过数金,……顷来京师,则成窑洒杯每对博银百金,予为吐舌不能下。”(明《万历野获编》),清初程哲在《蓉槎蠡说》中亦称“神宗时尚食御成杯一双已值钱十万”明朝人把成化斗彩当作圭宝,清朝人把成化斗彩视为拱璧,帝王和贵族上层尤其珍重之。清宫内各府造办处档案记“雍正七年四月十三日,交来成窑五彩磁罐一副(无盖)。奉旨,将此罐交年尧添一盖,照此样烧造几副”,可见雍正帝的嗜爱。
  成化斗彩极其名贵,最主要是贵在彩饰工艺上创新与精湛。用“精工细作”概括成化斗彩的品质完全恰当。成化斗彩在胎釉、色彩、造型、方面的特色有进一步的认识。
  胎质洁白细腻,薄轻透体,小杯胎体之薄几同蝉翼,可映见手指。白釉柔和莹润,表里如一。这种胎、釉特质的形成是由于成化瓷中的铁、钙含量下降所致,标志着成化官窑对胎釉原料的选择与控制比明朝前期更为严格。
  丰富而华贵。成化以前釉上彩色很少,即使著名的“景泰蓝”所用颜色也远较成化斗彩为少。“运用不同的选料和配比,做出这么多的彩色,是成化时期制瓷工人的巨大创造”。成化青花色泽淡雅,釉上彩色鲜艳清新。已故陶瓷鉴定专家孙瀛洲先生,曾撰文谈论成化彩色的特征:“鲜红艳如血,杏黄闪微红。水绿、叶子绿、山子绿等皆透明。差(姹)紫色浓而无光。孔雀蓝色沉,孔雀绿浅翠透明。赭紫色暗,葡萄紫色如熟葡萄而透明。油红色重艳而有光。姜黄色浓光弱”。实可谓五彩缤纷,美不胜收。其中的“差紫”是成化彩色中的独特品种。孔雀蓝与孔雀绿不用于斗彩器。成化斗彩在彩色运用上灵活自如,按照器物及纹饰风格,或者选用一两种(如斗彩卷叶纹瓶),或者选用三四种(如斗彩葡萄纹杯),或者选用五六种(如斗彩鸡缸杯)。用三四种彩绘的较多,用一两种或五六种彩绘的极少。然而无论选用几种,都设色精当,素雅与鲜丽兼而有之,明丽悦目,清新可人。应该说,若无成化颜色的丰富,便不会有尔后嘉万五彩、康熙五彩、雍正粉彩等的发展成就。

磁州窑烧制技艺(河北)
&&& 峰峰矿区的彭城镇位于邯郸市西部,总面积 32.6 平方公里,是磁州窑的主要产区。在新石器时代的磁山文化时期,峰峰地区已经能够生产优美的陶器,成为我国陶器的发祥地之一。到宋代,磁州窑步入兴盛期,明代达到鼎盛,彭城作为磁州窑的中心,也随之而成为北方瓷都。
&&& 磁州窑原料产于本地,主要有青土、白碱、缸土、笼土、黄土(黑药土)、紫木节、紫砂土、耐火粘土、水冶长石等。窑工们在瓷土的应用上有一套独特技艺,能使产品五彩缤纷。磁州窑的制坯技艺也丰富多样,有雕塑、拉坯、盘条、印坯等技法,风格独特。磁州窑的装饰艺术同样值得称道,它主要分为化妆白瓷、黑釉瓷和低温彩釉瓷三大系列,其装饰技法包括化妆白瓷、白釉刻划花、珍珠地刻花、黑釉刻划花、宋三彩、红绿彩、白地黑花、清代褐彩、民国蓝花及现代磁州窑图案等。
&&& 以磁州窑的传统烧制技艺为核心,还形成了包括商贸街区民俗文化、口头文学、窑坊建筑艺术等在内的陶瓷行业文化。彭城古镇庙会最盛时每年达二十多个,促进了陶瓷商贸活动,产生了独特丰富的商贸习俗、民间故事、生产谚语,留下了大量的器皿文字和绘画等。

峰峰矿区磁州窑烧制技艺
峰峰矿区彭城镇是中国磁州窑的主要产区,是磁州窑的故乡。
在新石器时代的“磁山文化”时期,峰峰地方已经能够生产优美的陶器,最早制作的有砂红陶、尖砂褐陶、泥质红陶的器物,如碗、钵、盘、壶、罐、豆、盂、四足鼎等,距今已有七千余年的历史,为我国古老陶器的发祥地之一。
直至宋代,在磁州窑步入了兴盛时期后,彭城镇为磁州窑系一个生产重镇,奠定了其北方民窑代表的重要地位。作为民窑,即为民众生活烧制的瓷器;以产量大,品类多,多种装饰技法精巧,成为中国北方最大的窑场。随后经过历朝历代陶瓷工人的努力,陶瓷生产随着朝代的更迭变化,经过多个繁荣时和衰败其,直至本世纪20年代彭城瓷窑已增至235座,缸窑35座,陶瓷工人达5千人左右,年产量近亿件。据40年代的民国“磁县县志”记载:“彭城之瓷窑可分为两种:一种为普通窑,一种为巧货窑。普通窑中专制粗瓷碗类,约占产品的十之八九,在昔销甚广,可及河北、河南、山东、关外各处,近年在洋瓷输入及南北两禹州、平定、井陉、唐山产瓷之影响大见阻滞。巧货窑以制精巧瓷为主,由清至今颇见发达。”1945年整个彭城瓷窑降为碗窑47座,缸窑9座,瓷业工人不足千人。1949年恢复窑达266座,从业人员3500人,50年代起成立国营陶瓷局,60年代改为陶瓷公司等。现有各类陶瓷从业人员2万余人。
磁州窑在中国陶瓷美术史上的地位,多有学者论及,但其美学特征基本为:
一、狂放中展示生的渴望。磁州窑的产品,无论器型还是装饰,都在狂放中展示北方人生的渴望。其器型硕大,其装饰线条奔放,充满张力,人们面对这样的器皿,自然不会心生委顿、悲观于中。尤其是在龙凤纹图案中,其龙奔腾,其凤飞舞,线条粗犷有力,精神远在人们高扬的头顶,而非道学者们追求的内心。
二、浑厚中展示福的期盼。磁州窑的产品,普遍显得浑厚。浑着,不拘小节,壮行于世也,厚者,厚德载物,包容世事也。因此,面对这样的器皿,人们不会小心翼翼,玩世不恭。这正合了来源于远古先民的那种头戴天、脚履地的黄天厚土的人皇意识。
