Westminster College, Cambridge is a centre for learning within the United Reformed Church. As a resource to the national and local church and a full participant in the theological training of students within the Cambridge Theological Federation, Westminster is a place where all those in ministry can study and deepen their faith. It is a place for refreshment and learning available to all of those involved in the life of the Church from many different traditions, people from other faiths and those with no faith commitment. It is a place of welcome, community and new vision where radical and provocative faith meets wonderful and risky living.

Announcement of Old Testament Tutor at Westminster College
Westminster College, Cambridge, is delighted to announce that Dr Alison Gray has been appointed to be our next Tutor in Old Testament. Alison will take up her post fully from the summer of 2016 upon the retirement of Revd Dr Janet Tollington. Alison is currently on the teaching staff of Westcott House, another member of the Cambridge Theological Federation.
Commenting on Alison's appointment Revd Neil Thorogood, Principal of Westminster, said: "We are delighted to be welcoming Alison onto the teaching staff of Westminster. She comes with highly relevant experience and tremendous academic and pastoral gifts. She has roots within the United Reformed Church and we look forward to her being able to bring her skills and wisdom not only within Federation and Westminster classes, but also across the United Reformed Church as Westminster continues to develop its provision for lay training. The appointment group were impressed by Alison's passion for helping people to engage with and be touched by the Hebrew scriptures, and at her creativity in doing so. We recognise that such a move within the Federation will create challenges for our friends and colleagues at Westcott, and this appointment has taken place against the backdrop of the support our houses share. We wish Alison well and hold her and her family in our prayers as this new chapter unfolds."

Beatus Study Tour - Church Interest Holiday Organised by John Marsh - Apply by 1st December 2015
John Marsh is organising a Church Interest Holiday to give an opportunity to visit one of the most scenic and historically fascinating parts of northern Spain. The group will visit several interesting locations, including an ancient monastery hidden in the Picos de Europa where an obscure 8th century monk and abbot, Beatus, wrote commentaries on the Book of Revelation. Inadverently, he lit fuses that set off the Christian reconquest of Spain from Islamic rule, fuelled the era of the Crusades, and triggered the historic Pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela which flourishes to this day. The several ways in which Christianity, Islam and Judaism engaged with each other in medieval Spain offer salient insights into contemporary relations between the three great 'Abrahamic' faiths.
To find out more about what promises to be a fascinating trip, please take a look at the
and contact John by 1st December to register your interest.
