I am always seeing green smoothies being all over health and weight loss shows, and while I am sure they are healthy I have never thought of them as appetizing.This book really changed my perception of green smoothies. I have to admit that I am NOT a vegetable fan, I love that I can get my veggies in while having them masked with the taste of the fruit.I learned that I can use green smoothies as a meal, to lose weight, to increase energy and soo much more that I never thought about.It is also a fantastic idea to getting kids to get vegetables into their diet in a yummy way. The vitamin C smoothie and the ginger detox smoothies are my favorites.

Great guide and recipe book for smoothies. The author does a great job describing what green smoothies are, their health benefits, and the differences between them and other forms, such as juice. There are also some great recipes (about 25) that are super easy to follow and use commonly found ingredients making them really simple to add to your daily routine. There are some recipes that are specially formulated to help with certain problems, such as better skin, antioxidants, high protein, etc. Some that sounded yummy to me: Grapefruit Smoothie and Cabbage with Berry Smoothie (what a fun way
to get in your greens and not really feel like it).

This book truly helped me realize the great benefits of having the smoothies as a regular part of my diet. I learned the countless health benefits of green smoothies. The one I liked the best was "Green smoothies do not only benefit our inner body system, but they also make our skin clear and spotless". I already tried making the Coconut & Watermelon smoothie and Avocado smoothie for breakfast. The recipes are easy to make and really taste great. I love smoothies but until I read this book I always thought a natural fruit smoothie was healthy, I never knew that the green smoothie was healthier.This is a short book but is very well explained and easy to understand.I never knew that green smoothies could benefit us in so many ways and never considered using smoothies for meal replacement.I really liked the recipe section especially, the almond smoothie which I now drink everyday since reading this book.This book is worth it to me just for the recipes alone.
